Helpful passport hints

•  Always make photocopies of your information when applying for your passport.

• When traveling, make sure you have two copies of the passport and other important documents:

• Leave one copy at home with a family member

• Carry a copy in a secure place

• The instructor should have a copy of everyone’s passport

• If you already have a passport, you should make sure the passport is valid for at least 6–12 months after your return to the U. S. Some countries do not allow entrance if the passport expires within six months of your return to your home country.

• It may be a good idea to scan a copy of the passport and email it to yourself.
